What I've been up to!
· Web development, Game development

Hey! It’s been a while, so I wanted to share some updates on what I’ve been doing!
SavePoint (The Modern Game Collection Platform) – I stopped this project. I learned what I wanted, which was modern full stack dev, and am moving on.
Persona 3 Nintendo DS Game – I started this new project as a way to learn embedded and ended it pretty quickly. I did a bit but didn’t enjoy the creative process (3D models, textures, audio, etc. which wasn’t fun for me) even though I was basing it off a pre-existing game, Persona 3. It helped me get familiar with game dev concepts like building an engine, memory management, rendering 2D/3D models (all of which were fun to do!) and crucially, embedded C/C++ concepts.

Ciena (Internship) – Finally given some coding tasks in C! I’m able to understand the code, and how to code in C. Was previously doing some Python, XML, testing, and documentation.
With these experiences over the past 3 months, I’ve learned a few important things:
- I’m an engineer. I like solving technical problems, not creating creative content. Thats why it was hard to continue making my DS game.
- Embedded > web dev. I love the possibilities with embedded. It’s a much more technical and interesting field that aligns more with my automotive, gaming, VR/MR, and hardware/software design interests.
I’m a car guy and I recently got into F1, which is as much a showcase of engineering as it is driver skill. And as a tech enthusiast, I’m also interested with modern EVs and hybrids that push engineering to the limit like the Corvette ZR1X, Rivian R2, Scout Terra, or Lucid Gravity.
That’s why for my next project, I’m thinking to do something with automotive. I guess we’ll see what I’m up to again in a couple of months!
